HOME RESUME PRINT WEB VIDEO SHOW BRANDING

SHOW
Annual convention was a time of enormous activity. Once the theme was decided upon, it was my job to make sure that it looked, and felt (and smelled) fantastic, and went off without a hitch. My role as Director/Producer allowed us the opportunity to put on a show that no attendee would ever forget.

CONVENTION 2006. Salt Lake City, Utah Salt Palace

Convention 2006 was our opportunity to roll out the "new look" that included major product redesign, logo redesign, color schemes, and a new sense of direction for the company. This was the first time we worked with an outside agency for production of the show, which allowed us to focus on the attendee experience.

DIRECTOR: John Roberts

• Staging included thousands of fragrant lavender plants
• Featured a live plant walk-in, with waterfalls
• Side screens played video loops of natural scenes

CONVENTION 2005. Salt Lake City, Utah Salt Palace

Gold of the Gods theme. Really the last of the big "themed" conventions. The Essential Oils story goes back to pre-history, so this theme took that idea to the extreme. The kick-off video was an epic journey through time leading up to the re-discovery of essential oils by the founder.

DIRECTOR/DESIGNER: John Roberts

Features:

• Extra large screen with "spider' insets
• Staging included light cylinders, and great sound
• Biggest Expo ever
• Side screens played video loops of natural scenes

CONVENTION 2007 Farm Interpretive Display

This display was built for Young Living Lavender Farms in Utah. The construction was designed to be mobile, so that we could "bring the farm to D.C." I oversaw the design, construction, assembly, and disassembly.

DIRECTOR/DESIGNER: John Roberts

Features:

• History of Young Living essential oils
• Essential oils in world history
• Suspended panels with cloth backdrops and lighting
• Completely mobile construction
• Looping video presentation of Seed to Seal process
