WEB DESIGN

The web has become EVERYTHING. The longer I work with the web, the KISS principle becomes the overriding standard. Keep It Simple. Usability trumps design innovation, but that is not to say that innovation is not important. Form follows function. SEO? SEO is not a big mystery, it is basic web design. The sites I work on are simple in construction, using principles of Search Engine Optimization. For example, dōTERRA International currently ranks first (out of 82,600,000 results!) when someone enters "essential oils" in Google. We simply constructed the site using solid design principles.

Several of the sites are built upon the WordPress platform.

Here are just a few examples of sites that I have designed or built. I am currently engaged in several website designs that will be added upon completion.

Essanté Worldwide Website Re-design
Essanté is a recognised leader in weight-loss and health supplement products. Their site was built by a number of developers and designers, and lacked cohesiveness and brand power. I was asked to update the look. Working with an excellent programmer for the back-end, we developed this new look.

Essanté Worldwide Web Banner Rotator Ads
A few sample promo ads. They happen frequently, and there are also more or less permanent ads on the website. These give me an opportunity to do a simple clean design concept on a large venue. Large for the web. They are 1600 pixels wide. You can see them here:

Rezealiant Living Product Site
Rezealiant has several websites, but this one shows the basic look and feel. This site is completely custom code, with a simple layout designed to give easy access to company information and product information. This site will allow purchase of product by clicking through to an ecommerce site. The distributor who owns the site will get credit for purchase through the site.

Rails West Website
This site was so dated, it really needed some TLC. Working with their programmer, I supplied them with a look that included a new masthead and banner area. I supplied the banners as well. This was part of a complete corporate rebrand that included signage, banners, identity materials, TV banners, etc. This is an ongoing project that will include corporate report for 2014 and ongoing marketing materials.

dōTERRA International's Corporate Websites are designed as initial information sites for those investigating essential oils, their history and uses as well as other company-specific information. This site is one of a dozen, among which are several international language websites.

WORDPRESS - 2011

AromaTouchTechnique.com features Dr. Hill's patented holistic approach to essential oils and balancing the body's systems. Trainers can add events to the calendar, and distributors can learn about the technique and who the trainers are as well as learning about the oils used in the technique.

WEIGHT LOSS CONTEST MICROSITE- 2011

dōTERRA Slim & Sassy Weightloss Contest. Spinning off of last years successful campaign, this years site was more robust in appearance and in functionality. Online registration was built into the site as well as other user interactive modules, such as a "standings" widget allowing contestants to see where they stack up. It also has images of the contestants and statements that appear upon submission of registration.

LODGING AND ADVENTURE SITE - 2014

GILLY'S is a little project close to my heart. I love the San Rafael Swell area, and I love stopping at Gilly's for a couple of nights for big adventure. This site is simple yet SEO friendly and designed to work well with social media. Most of the photography is my own which made it even a bit more fun to design! (Did not do the logo.)
